Step-by-step instructions for installing the shaft adapter

Required tools:

• TX20 Torx screwdriver
• Phillips screwdriver
• cutter knife or similar tool

steps:

1. Preparation of the insert (assembly kit):

   • a) Place the M4 nut into the insert so that it can be easily pushed in (see photo in the product description).
   • b) Using the handle of a screwdriver, press the nut into the insert with some force until it is firmly seated. It should not be necessary to exert too much force. If it does not work immediately, check the position of the nut. Make sure that the M4 screw can be easily screwed through the hole.

2. Removing the handle:

   • Remove the 6 Phillips screws from the Ashinger handle.

3. Opening the handle:

   • Pry off the Ashinger handle with a screwdriver. Insert the screwdriver so that the square hole remains open to insert the insert.

4. Inserting the insert:

   • Insert the insert into the hole from below with the wider end first, so that the slot encloses the handle wall of the Ashinger. Tilt the insert into the hole and carefully remove the screwdriver that is holding the hole open so that the insert is enclosed by the wall of the handle from above and below.

5. Reattaching the handle:

   • Screw the 6 Phillips screws back into the handle.

6. Attaching the shaft adapter:

   • Press the shaft adapter onto the handle and screw the 23 mm long screw (the shorter of the two) with the washer into the handle until hand-tight. Make sure you only tighten it hand-tight.

7. Fixing the long screw:

   • Put the long screw through the hole on the side and secure it with the nut on the opposite side, also hand-tight. The adapter should now sit firmly on the handle.

8. Mounting the AR15 stock:

   • Screw on your AR15 stock as usual.
