🛠️ Step-by-step installation instructions for the de-shaker slide rails
Push the slide rail strip through:
Push both ends of the slide rail strips from below through the holes in the MEGABand.
Do the same on the opposite side.
Positioning the slide rail strips:
Position the slide rail strips so that they are straight and correctly parallel to the barrel in the recess.
This is their final position – they must not slip out later.
Tie the ends:
Pull the slide rail strip ends on the opposite side and tie several knots (4-5 knots).
Repeat the same on the other side.
Tensioning the slide rail strips:
Use a ballpoint pen or screwdriver to reach under the knots and twist them to tighten the slide rail strips.
Twist until the slide rail strips are taut in the bottom of the groove.
Attention: The strips must not slip out of the groove and should only be slightly taut. Twisting them too much can tear the strips.
Rest the pen or screwdriver on the top of the rail to prevent the tension from being released.
Do the same on the other side.
Check the seat:
Check that both slide rail strips are correctly seated in the groove on the barrel.
If not, remove the strips and repeat the process.
Bonding the slide rail strips:
Use a mat to protect against possible drops of superglue.
Drip superglue into all holes through which the slide rail strips were passed (from below).
Make sure the glue flows into the holes. It's OK if some glue comes out at the bottom.
Allow to harden:
Allow the glue to cure overnight to ensure it is completely solid.
Cut off any excess ends:
Cut the top of the slide rail strips smoothly using fine pliers or the tip of a carpet knife.
Remove any remaining adhesive.
The strips should not slip back if they are correctly glued.
Installing MEGABand:
Put the MEGABand on the Megalodon and enjoy the result! 🎉
